Effective October 11 – 14, 2024
Due to infrastructure work being performed, Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner service will be adjusted, as outlined below. Schedule times listed on Amtrak.com have been updated to reflect these changes.
Friday, October 11
- Train 794, which normally operates between San Luis Obispo and San Diego, will terminate at Los Angeles. Bus 3594 will provide alternate transportation between Los Angeles and San Diego, making all intermediate station stops except San Juan Capistrano.
Saturday and Sunday, October 12 – 13
- Trains 572, 573, 586 and 587 are canceled with no alternate transportation provided.
- Train 761, which normally operates between San Diego and San Luis Obispo, will originate at Los Angeles with no alternate transportation provided between San Diego and Los Angeles.
- Train 794 is canceled between Los Angeles and San Diego. Bus 3594 will provide alternate transportation between Los Angeles and San Diego, making all intermediate station stops except San Juan Capistrano.
- Train 562 will terminate at Irvine with no alternate transportation provided between Irvine and San Diego.
- Train 564 will operate normally from Los Angeles to San Juan Capistrano, and as Bus 3364/3864/3964 from Irvine to San Diego.
- Train 580 will operate normally from Los Angeles to San Juan Capistrano, and as Bus 3380/3880/3980 from Irvine to San Diego.
- Train 581 will operate as Bus 3281/3881/3981 from San Diego to Irvine, and as Train 581 San Juan Capistrano to Los Angeles.
- Train 591 will operate as Bus 3491/3891/3991 from San Diego to Irvine, and as Train 591 San Juan Capistrano to Los Angeles.
- Train 595 will originate at Irvine with no alternate transportation provided from San Diego to Irvine. Passengers may use existing Bus 5811.
- Train 765 will operate as Bus 3365/3665/3965 from San Diego to Irvine, and as Train 765 Irvine to Goleta.
- Train 769 will operate as Bus 3369/3869/3969 from San Diego to Irvine, and as Train 769 San Juan Capistrano to Goleta.
- Train 770 will operate normally from Goleta to San Juan Capistrano, and as Bus 3370/3770/3870 from Irvine to San Diego.
- Train 774 will operate normally from San Luis Obispo to San Juan Capistrano, and as Bus 3274/3874/3974 from Irvine to San Diego.
- Train 777 will operate as Bus 3477/3877/3977 from San Diego to Irvine, and as Train 777 San Juan Capistrano to San Luis Obispo.
- Train 784 will operate normally from Goleta to San Juan Capistrano, and as Bus 3284/3884/3984 from Irvine to San Diego.
- Train 785 will operate as Bus 3385/3885/3985 from San Diego to Irvine, and as Train 785 San Juan Capistrano to Goleta.
- Train 790 will operate normally from Goleta to Irvine, and as Bus 3290/3090/3190 from Irvine to San Diego.
Monday, October 14
- Train 761, which normally operates between San Diego and San Luis Obispo, will originate in Los Angeles with no alternate transportation provided.
