San Clemente Times City Reporter Angelica Escobar was honored at Assemblymember Laurie Davies’ fifth annual Orange County Hispanic Heritage Awards luncheon on Friday, Nov. 8, at the District 74 offices in San Juan Capistrano.
Escobar was honored for “Excellence in Journalism” and received a framed State Assembly Resolution from Davies during an event that spotlights businesses and community leaders serving Orange County.
According to a news release from Davies’ office, Escobar was recognized as “a reporter whose integrity and commitment to truth have strengthened civic awareness and inspired engagement across our region.”
“I had the great honor of joining community leaders, families and friends at our annual Orange County Hispanic Heritage Awards — a beautiful celebration of leadership, service and success that extends the spirit of Hispanic Heritage Month year-round,” Davies said.
“This annual event shines a well-deserved spotlight on the incredible individual whose work continues to uplift our communities and enrich the cultural fabric of South Orange County. Each honoree’s story was a reminder that dedication, compassion and perseverance have the power to transform lives.”
