Davies Dispatch – State Budget …Too Little. Too Late.

Even with almost a $100 BILLION surplus, California Democrats raised the tax on gas again – brining in another $500 MILLION from taxpayers. Now with out of control inflation, California Democrats want to exacerbate the problem by printing money.

For over 100 days, I asked for the Gas Tax to be halted. I asked for the surplus to be given back in the form of meaningful, lasting tax cuts.

Instead, Democrats will print one-time checks, ranging from $200 to $350 depending on income level, just before the November election.

That’s way too little, and way too late.

These checks are politics. Pure and simple. It’s time for real, common sense solutions: cut taxes to provide real relief and demand transparency on gas prices.
