AB 229 – Criminal procedure: Sexually transmitted disease testing: This measure would allow a sexual assault victim the ability to petition a court to test their abuser for
STDs.
AB 383- Criminal procedure: Sexually transmitted disease testing: This measure would prohibit any minor who violates current firearm laws, including using one in a
crime, from owning or possessing a firearm until the age of 30. Fact Sheet
AB 837- Ketamine: This measure would make it illegal to transport ketamine into the state for the purpose of selling it outside of a medical or veterinary purpose. Fact Sheet
AB 924- Leases: termination of tenancy: abuse or violence: security deposit: This measure will require a landlord to evenly split a security deposit between tenants if one of the tenants commits an act of domestic violence on another tenant.
AB 1005- Drowning prevention: public schools: informational materials: This measure authorizes schools work with outside organizations to provide water safety education
to 1st-12th graders and parents. Furthermore, it codifies the finding that swim lessons can reduce drowning by 88%, and will provide vouchers to underserved families to receive free swim lessons. Fact Sheet
